BIOGRAPHY

Cody Frost is a multi-instrumentalist & audio engineer, with a professional career spanning 14 years.  Most notably as a guitarist, having contributed as a composer and performer in various groups.  Much of his inspiration is noticeably drawn from Scandinavian melo-death/black-metal acts and a healthy mixture of more modern rock & anthemic metal acts.  

 

He has toured as a guitarist as well as an engineer/tech, having had the pleasure of working with or performing in support of national acts & some of his personal inspirations such as Bullet For My Valentine, Escape The Fate, Sevendust, Machine Head, & more.  Most of this time was performing with his prior group A Fall To Break, under Funzalo Records (A Warner Music subsidiary).  The act was initially under the management of the Inner Light Agency in their early years and later Powerline Management.

Spending much of his earlier years in the industry between the greater cities in Arizona and time in Nashville.  He shadowed and was periodically mentored by his cousin Vince Emmett and assistant engineer Steve Winiarski (formerly known as Melody Hill Farm Studios).  He began his endeavors as an engineer in 2014. He noted his interest in working as a studio engineer and session musician primarily stemming from his time spent in the studio with artist & producer Matt Good.  He began entertaining the idea of composing a solo project that he hoped to develop later on, which he tracked with Matt in 2015.

Cody re-focused on his work as a live engineer in mid 2016.  Under the mentorship of close friend Tommy "RAT" Dubielak (former engineer of The Offspring / Red Hot Chili Peppers).  While having funneled most of his time into work as an engineer for several years, he spent time on and off the road as a hired & resident FOH engineer.  He was given opportunities to run FOH for acts such as Anvil, Onyx, A Skylit Drive, & more.

In addition to the career prior highlights, Cody has contributed and composed material that has been featured on UFC, and NHL events.  He has proudly worked as a supporting engineer or stage tech for acts such as Anthrax, The Offspring, The Plot In You, and REO Speedwagon.

Cody now resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife.  Primarily focused on his personal material & hired work as a session musician.  Working as a studio engineer and performing as a guitarist, bassist, cellist, & as a vocalist.  He remains involved in live event production and consultation in artist development for acts he works with.
